Welcome folks, to my journey to becoming a software developer.
As this is my very first blog post I’d like to do a little house keeping before we continue. The purpose of this series of blog posts is to give you, the reader, a very in depth personal look at what one person with negligible experience in tech did to become a software developer. We’ll start from the beginning, answering a question that many of you may have. Why become a software developer? I’ll give you my personal reasons as to why I chose this path as well as, talking about everything from that point to, eventually getting my first job as a software developer.
I started this series because I wanted to give people a really close look at what I faced on my road to becoming a software developer. Maybe you might have some of the things I’m going to talk about come up. My goal is to offer some insight about my own experiences that might help you in your journey to becoming a software developer. Maybe, like me you don’t know what a language you use to make software is or, where to start. When I started on my path I had more than enough questions about everything software development to make my head spin. I’ll take you along that path as it happens. At the time of this writing I’m about 6 months into learning how to code so the first few blog posts will be catch-ups then I’ll be writing as it happens in almost real time.
Learning to develop software certainly isn’t the easiest thing I’ve ever done. With some struggling, drive to succeed, and I’ll be honest, stubbornness, I did it or rather, am doing it. If I can do it I have no doubt someone reading software blogs will, hopefully with the help of some of the information you read here, can do it to.
This was just a small introductory to what you can look forward to reading about in future blog posts. If you do find value in these posts, be sure to contact me. I’d love to hear what you thought when you read this and all other posts. I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I can but for now I’ll leave you with this. In the mean time, remember, keep learning, keep coding, and keep creating things you love.
